Zero Time Dilemma Makes Modest Debut in Japanese Charts as Shovel Knight Digs Into Top 20

It’s that time of the week once again for the Media Create Japanese chart results, and there are a few notable new arrivals to consider. All told, it’s a mix of good and bad news for those following the fortunes of titles on Nintendo hardware in Japan.

First up we have Story of Seasons: Trio of Towns, which shifted nearly 31,000 units in its second week and came in third behind new release Super Robot Wars OG: The Moon Dwellers on PS3 and PS4. Mario & Sonic at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games and Minecraft: Wii U Edition both held onto top five places, adding modest sales to their totals.

Sadly Zero Time Dilemma has returned numbers perhaps befitting its niche status, selling less than 10,000 units between Vita and 3DS, with the latter sneaking into 20th place. There’s some pleasing news for Yacht Club Games, however, with the
