Batman vs. Deathstroke

David Jetre

Given how dismal films have become — and I say this as a film enthusiast — computer games are really becoming the go-to media for great design, excellent direction, out-of-the-box storytelling and great action.

Hollywood long ago entered into a creative tail-spin that grudgingly permits only the least imaginative ideas to be produced. The endless parade of clichés, re-booted franchises, worn out yarns, and political extremism that represents less than 20% of the American movie-going public, has finally chilled most of the movie-loving fans that cannot get a good story from the West Coast.

This 5-minute animated short is far better than any 2-hour film I’ve seen in the last two to three years, with only a few outstanding exceptions.
